Hatzopoulos SA was awarded for its action in the field of Corporate Responsibility by the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (FING) with the prize “Greek Value”.
FING in cooperation with the financial newspaper Express launched a new initiative to award the manufacturing enterprises in the region. The ultimate goal is to highlight the Greek value through the manufacturing business. Hatzopoulos was recognized for its important social work throughout all these years. Taking multiple actions to strengthen organizations that support vulnerable social groups and helping the Greek culture and heritage, the company stood for its social work.
In retrospect, Hatzopoulos since 2010 officially participates in the Global Compact of the United Nations, the largest voluntary international initiative for corporate social responsibility.
On a monthly basis, the company supports the international humanitarian organization “Doctors without Borders”, provides financial assistance to charitable association “Ray” and contributes to the Greek “Food Bank – Foundation for the fight against hunger.” Hatzopoulos also provides assistance to the “Museum of the Macedonian Struggle” in Thessaloniki and is sponsoring the “Foundation for Balkan Studies.” Hatzopoulos co-founded the “Greek Center for Cinema Studies and Research ” and is also a founding member of the «Northern Greece Entrepreneurs Cultural Society”.
