A. Hatzopoulos S.A. is proud to announce its success at the Packaging Awards 2026, the 10th edition of the annual institution organized by BOUSSIAS Events in collaboration with the Association of the Greek Manufacturers of Packaging & Materials (AGMPM). The ceremony took place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 and had a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, by highlighting the role of packaging in enhancing product performance, design, and branding while showcasing the most influential trends shaping the industry today.
This year, A. Hatzopoulos S.A. was honored with three distinctions for its innovative packaging solutions, underscoring the company’s continuous commitment to driving sustainable transformation in the packaging industry.
With these distinctions, our award-winning solutions are now also eligible for entry in the WorldStar Awards 2027, one of the most prestigious global competitions in packaging.
X-CYCLE™ PO Energy Gel Sachet
This fully recyclable polyolefin-based solution is designed to replace conventional aluminium-based structures used for energy gels. Combining high barrier performance with durability and reliable sealing, it protects product quality while meeting the demanding conditions of on-the-go consumption. Its mono-material structure supports compatibility with existing polyolefin recycling streams and reduces the packaging’s carbon footprint by 50% per m². Already successfully applied to commercial products, this solution demonstrates how recyclability, functionality, and real-world performance can be combined in a demanding packaging application.
X-CYCLE™ PP Stabilo Coffee Pouch
An innovative mono-material PP solution developed to meet the demanding requirements of coffee packaging while supporting circularity. Replacing conventional non-recyclable PET-based structures, it combines ultra-high barrier performance with full recyclability, helping preserve the freshness, aroma, and quality of coffee throughout its shelf life. Designed in line with RecyClass guidelines and compatible with existing production lines, the solution enables a seamless transition towards more sustainable packaging. Already commercially applied in demanding Scandinavian markets, it demonstrates that recyclability and high performance can go hand in hand.
X-CYCLE™ PP Duplex Coffee Pad Solution
This recyclable mono-material PP solution simplifies conventional coffee pad packaging by replacing complex triplex structures with a more resource-efficient duplex design. By eliminating metallization and incorporating a transparent high-barrier coating, it maintains the protection required to preserve coffee freshness and aroma while reducing material use by 12.3% and carbon footprint by 18.3% per m². Compatible with existing production lines and recycling streams, the solution combines lightweighting, performance, and circularity, offering a practical and scalable approach to more sustainable coffee packaging.
Packaging Awards 2026 Ceremony
