A. Hatzopoulos S.A.’s Employees Complete First Aid Training with the Hellenic Rescue Team.

At A. Hatzopoulos S.A., the health and safety of our employees are of paramount importance. In line with our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure workplace, we are proud to announce that the First Aid Department of the Hellenic Rescue Team (HRT) recently conducted an extensive first-aid training seminar at our facilities. This vital training, lasting a full eight hours, was designed to equip our employees with essential lifesaving skills and knowledge. A total of 35 dedicated employees participated in this comprehensive first round of training sessions.

Throughout the day, participants engaged in hands-on exercises that covered a wide range of first-aid procedures. The training included critical skills such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), defibrillation, and the Heimlich maneuver for choking. Employees also learned how to place individuals in the recovery position, manage hemorrhages, and treat various injuries, including fractures and sprains, as well as the proper methods for bandaging and applying a tourniquet. Our employees were also trained to respond to incidents involving fainting, burns, seizures, and heat exhaustion, while also receiving instructions on managing stings and anaphylactic reactions, ensuring they are prepared for a wide array of medical emergencies.

We are incredibly proud of our employees for their enthusiastic participation and dedication to this training. The skills they have acquired are not only invaluable in the workplace but also essential for handling everyday emergencies that can occur anywhere and at any time. The seminar provided by the Hellenic Rescue Team is officially certified by the European Resuscitation Council, ensuring that our training meets the highest standards of medical education and practice. This certification underscores the quality and reliability of the training our employees received.

In addition to this extensive training, A. Hatzopoulos S.A. has taken proactive steps to ensure emergency readiness by having defibrillators installed at our facilities. We have two readily available defibrillators, strategically placed at each of our locations in Kalohori, Thessaloniki. The presence of these defibrillators is crucial, as they significantly increase the chances of survival in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. Having these devices on-site, combined with our employees’ training, ensures that we are well-prepared to provide immediate and effective assistance, thereby enhancing the safety and security of everyone at our facilities.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the Hellenic Rescue Team and expanding this training to include more employees in the future. By fostering a culture of preparedness and safety, we aim to create a safer workplace and community for everyone. A big thank you to the Hellenic Rescue Team for their expertise and dedication, and congratulations to our employees for their successful completion of this important training.
