A. HATZOPOULOS S.A. is thrilled to announce the expansion of its capabilities with the installation of a brand-new, state-of-the-art Full-HD Flexo printing press MIRAFLEX II at its flexo plant in Kalohori, Thessaloniki. This new investment is expected to significantly increase our printing capacity, in line with our engagement to offer consistent high quality and exceptional flexible packaging solutions.
The new MIRAFLEX II by Windmöller & Hölscher is a gearless press equipped with 10+1 stations for colors and lacquers printing. It is a wide-web line with an up to 1.270mm printing width and it reaches high production speeds of up to 500 meters/minute. The press features advanced technology with fully-automated modules for barcode control, impression and registration as well as in-line video inspection, ensuring 100% control of printing quality and optimized efficiency during the printing process. Thanks to its in-line gravure printing station, our new press is ready to apply any type of technical / aesthetics varnish on the surface of various substrates. As part of this investment, A. HATZOPOULOS S.A. further expanded also its plate mounting equipment, with the integration of an additional new generation, fully-automatic mounting machine.
Following the successful completion of all required installation and integration procedures, the new printing line is fully-operational since mid-March 2023. With the target to keep setting higher printing and quality standards, we implement a dynamic capacity expansion plan based on strategic investments in cutting-edge technology. This new addition to our printing lines fleet will further increase our company’s capabilities and capacity in top-quality flexo printed films, supporting our commitment to operational flexibility, efficiency and packaging excellence.
